When it's time to glue the pages of your number together, it works best to go one by one. Once the piece of foam sheet is attached to the number, proceed and hot glue with a gun to reinforce any seams that might appear gaping or flimsy.
To make the rounded bottoms of the numbers (3, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 0) stand on their own, cut a small part of the bottom to flatten it out. Once you have cut out the numbers, you have to make 6 side pieces.
To make the sides of the numbers, measure and cut out 6 strips of foam sheet with a box cutter. Use a hot glue gun to attach the strips to the edges of the numbers on the foam plate.
Glue the printed template and cut out the number letters. Arrange the balloons around the number with a low temperature glue gun to keep the balloons in place. After you have filled your balloons, use a hot glue gun and glue dots to attach them to the balloon number sculpture.
To inflate the balloons I find it easier to use an electric balloon pump rather than a hand pump. I recommend doing this at night or during the day so that the balloons can escape more easily.
